Comments

  1. Tye Thompson says:

In the twilight glow i see her
Blue eyes crying in the rain
When we kissed goodbye and parted
    I knew we’d never meet again …

    Need I type more!

  2. Robin Jessup Kafka says:

I have been a fan of Willie’s for as long as I can remember. My granma was a huge fan and at that time “Pistol Packin Mama” became a favorite of mine. As I got older of course my love of his music had grown but honestly It is so much more than his music that makes me a huge fan. He is a Brilliant man who loves his family and fellow man. His work for America’s farmers has been absolutely outstanding. His books, equally as briiliant as the man. His books have helped me learn a better way of living when stress and struggles had started to consume my life. I have great admiration and respect for him. Willie is truly my Hero! Thank you so much for this opportunity! Peace! “All I need is Willie and Weed!”

  3. Kelly says:

I love music, but what makes Willie my favorite? That’s easy… Every lesbian needs a little Willie!

  4. RON LINNA, MSGT USAF RET. says:

I’m retired mil. and when I was in Thailand in 73 a frd raved about a guy from Tex.nmd Willie and they called him the Rebel. My whole family grew up on Way and Will and saw him last fall again! I will live & die listening to Willie cause he kept all of us in the mil rockin with his luv! gb ya willie!

  5. Rhoades D'Ablo says:

Willie changed music, changed how Country music could be done, changed attitudes about the music, and he freaking changed my life!

  6. Laura Gay says:

I am from Austin. Willie has been the sound of “home” for me, as keen as the smell of fresh, cut grass or sizzling bacon…always urging me back to this place, my Great State. He sings, speaks, and lives the Texan’s Truth; even when he’s pulling of the side of the road for a nap.

  7. Lisa Sullivan says:

Im from Temple Tx and Willie has always been my hero.. ive grown up listening to his music and seeing him play whener i can.. i still have a concert tshirt from 1983 that i wear religiously, despite the cpl small holes.. long live Willie

  8. Daniela says:

Να είσαι πάντα καλά Willie and God bless you!!! Congratulations Christopher for those magnificent photographs

    … from Greece with love!!! :) )

  9. Jeff Miller says:

Willie Nelson IS Texas. The mans heart as as big as the hole in his guitar. When people think of Texas, they think of BBQ, Dallas Cowboys, and Willie. One of our favorite things to do when driving north on business is to stop at willie’s place. I am going to miss that giant chicken friend steak and drunks starting fights at the bar.

  10. Jason DeNeen says:

    Willie sings to my soul.

  11. Robin Jessup Kafka says:

“I live one day at a time,I dream one dream at a time,Yesterdays dead and tomorrow is blind, and I live one day at a time.” By Willie Nelson from his book “The tao of willie.” An Absolute Inspiration is what Willie is to me!!

  12. Brad Burges says:

I met him in the early 1990′s after a show at Billy Bob’s..but the best Willie story I have is , after a long night of drinking at a gentlemens club I go home with a ” employee”..Long story short , I wake up in the bed the next morning and look at the night stand..There sat a pic of Willie and “my date.” It was classic and I laughed all the way home…True Story…hahaha

  13. Robin Jessup Kafka says:

“I believe that all life is connected, and that there is beauty and value in all things. I believe that the truth is found in your own heart. The trick is to shut up and listen. The trick is to believe. I believe in the strength found in being yourself, and don’t give an elephant’s ass about trying to fit in or be normal. There is no normal. There is only you and me.” by Willie from his book “The Tao of Willie”. Willie’s words are truly inspirational. Peace!

  14. Janis says:

    His eyes

  15. When I was a kid we used to listen to the Fourth of July picnic concerts from MY backyard. The first time I kissed a girl, Willie was playing on her parents 8-track. I have seen Red Headed Stranger and Honeysuckle Rose more times than I can count. I take Willie’s birthday off from work every year. I know that Johnny Bush wrote Whiskey River but still call it a willie Nelson song. That is a gorgeous print and I want it ! ! ! !

  16. The world as I know it would be very strange without Willie in it. Can’t even remember a time in my life where his presence was not felt. Grandma used to play his records. Now as an adult I sing his songs, enjoy his performances and celebrate every Easter in Luck. How lucky is that?

  17. Carolynz says:

I am a long time Willie fan. My Aunt had his record albums one which she liked was Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain and my Mom loved him too. I love Willie because he is so down to earth and treats all of his fans with such kindness. He is so giving to all people and animals. He has a great big loving heart. Everytime I get to go see Willie I get so excited and I try to see him as much as possible keeps me going. I would just love to spend a day with him. Willie is a super great human being “You Are Always on My Mind”.

  18. Brandon Willard says:

Willie Nelson is a true icon to the country/western music industry, and one of the greatest ever. I respect that he avoids the political issues regarding his music. Willie has been an influence for decades, and still today is looked up to. I grew up to his music as a kid, and still enjoy it to this day. What makes Willie so different is he’s committed to his fans, he sticks to his beliefs and…HE’S A TRUE TEXAN… God bless you Willie!!

  19. Lori Saxon says:

First meeting. Momma made me go around the bus, back in line 4 times. I asked if I could have 1 more hug and kiss. He replied, ” I bet you can.” Someone yelled, Lay one on her, he did, I was smitten. Now, in concert, he sings only to me.

    • Lori Saxon says:

And I took her to everyone I could. God took her, he needed an Angel. But if I won and she were here still, I would give it to her. Willie made her feel like the only woman in the world when he sang. One more reason why….

      • Lori Saxon says:

There are just so many reasons why, and it would be hard to pick just one. I love the music, the cool vibes, the good times. So cant really say, except , he makes me believe I am. And I am, because of who he is and what he stands for.

  20. Lori Saxon says:

Could say so much more, not enough allowed words. I will end my bid with saying, whoever wins, will be one of the luckiest fans there is.Not only because of the subject, but also the artist. You capture souls in your work Christopher. Good luck to everyone. Peace Out…..

  21. Linda Gruntorad says:

I – a fan of many but a follower of Willie. Like most, admiration came first through his music. Nowadays – his allegiance to his beliefs. His persona is larger than life…his heart – simple and true. True to his family, friends, causes, himself – All encompassing! I love his hands…

  22. Monique says:

Willie changed my life in so many ways: his music always makes me feel happy, gives me energy, makes me creative. Because of my love for Willie & Family I met so many great people. I use to call them my “Willie” brothers & sisters :)
